Bloodborne Pathogens Certification Training

The Bloodborne Pathogens course is for individuals who have the risk of exposure to blood or to blood-containing materials and need a course completion certificate in bloodborne pathogens for their job requirements. Upon completion, students will receive a course certificate, valid for two years, which meets all regulatory standards of OSHA and utilizes the recognized American Heart Association curriculum.

In this course, you will learn everything you need to know to protect yourself from bloodborne pathogen exposure, including the following: 

  • Exposure control plan

  • Infection risks

  • Routes of disease transmission

  • Reporting exposures

  • OSHA form completion

  • Personal protective equipment (PPE)

  • Post-exposure care

  • OSHA Regulations

Examples of professions that may need to take this course include correctional officers, childcare workers, flight attendants, electricians, tattoo artists, security guards, managers, hotel housekeepers, coaches and athletic trainers, outdoor recreational instructors, and more.
